Dear Rim of the World Supporter,

It's time for Rim again!! Welcome to those of you who are on board already! If you haven’t signed up yet, we would like to invite you to help on this year's event, which will take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 28-29 2007. Subaru Southwest Region is again our title sponsor.

NEW THIS YEAR: : Rim returns to the beautiful Antelope Valley Fairgrounds as its headquarters and center of all activities, including Volunteer Registration (sign-in). Check out the Fairgrounds Map on the Rim website. The Poppy Pavilion will house the Rally Expo vendor fair and the champagne victory ceremony. Outside we'll have the Performance Auto Show, Autocross and the RC car competition. Food will again be served by both Habitat for Humanity and Boy Scout Troop 444. The entire rally competition and service stops will be held at the fairgrounds. Rim will include two Coefficient 1 CRS rallies. Entrants will be paired to run side-by-side for two laps in front of the huge grandstands. The event will have live web updates as well as "Rally Radio” broadcasts. Entrance price to the Fairgrounds is only $5, so invite your non-volunteer friends to head up to Lancaster!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! As most of you know, the event will no longer be able to make use of the Angeles National Forest. We have decided to move in a different direction this year with the support of Subaru. We will be running a Stadium event on Saturday and Sunday. Due to this change, the need for volunteers has decreased. We will be needing approximately 80 volunteers for the rally weekend.

VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION AT THE FAIRGROUNDS: : Volunteer Registration will be held in Poppy Pavilion (see Poppy Pavillion Map on the website). You will be given free parking all day Saturday and Sunday. In order to get into the parking area once you have signed up as a volunteer, you will need to log onto the website using your password and download and print a personalized Parking Permit. At Registration, you will need to sign the waiver and get your T-shirt. Your team may be meeting there as well – so leave extra time if you want to wander around the Rally Expo. Watch your email for a reminder and further directions on signing in. We are pleased to announce that Ken and Sue Lingbloom will be handling our volunteer registration as well as passing out your equipment.

FOOD AND MORE - FOR YOU! A celebration Rally Party will be held Saturday night with a (free for volunteers) Tri-Tip Meal prepared by Habitat for Humanity. We will be recognizing former Rim Champions.

Thanks for your support, and for doing such a great job. See you at Rim!
