  • USRC (National) and Dual entries will open on March 21
  • As in years past "CRS/WSRC Only" teams that live outside CA, AZ and NV will be eligible for a $150 "Out of Area - CRS/WSRC Only Discount".
  • The Saturday CRS/WSRC rally will count for WSRC points.

Rim will be conducted following the NASA Rally Sport General Regulations for Rallies, as amended by the exceptions in the Supp Regs.

Stage Notes: Stage Notes from P-Sport will be available for $160 per set. These can be Ordered and Paid For Online or from Donna Hocker, (760) 375-3289. Payment needs to be received no later than May 1, ortherwise we will not print notes for you. Notes can be picked up at the start of Recce or during the registration process.

Memberships & Licensing: All membersips and licenses may be purchased at the event. All competitors will need to be NASA members ($40 annually). Membership in CRS ($30) prior to the event is required if you want to accrue points. All U.S. competitors running the USRC event will need a NASA National/Regional Rally license ($150). All U.S. competitors running the CRS/WSRC Events Only will need either a NASA National/Regional Rally license (available from Ray Hocker), or a NASA Regional Rally license ($50). NASA regional rally licenses can be upgraded to a NASA National/ Regional license by paying the $100 difference. International competitors will need the appropriate NASA Rally license (see above), an FIA International rally license, an appropriate CARS rally license or an appropriate FMAD rally license.

Why do "CRS/WSRC Only" entries open before USRC and Dual ?
The number of competitors for Rim will again be limited to 80 by the U.S. Forest Service. In an attempt to be fair to both USRC and CRS/WSRC competitors, we will be reserving up to 40 spots for "CRS/WSRC Only" entries, leaving 40 for USRC and Dual entries. This will be implemented by having two separate entry forms, available from the Rim website. One will be for "CRS/WSRC Only" and the other will be for USRC or Dual .

The entry form for the "CRS/WSRC Only" (both CRS events) will be posted on Feb 21, one month before the USRC or Dual entry form is posted (March 21). Both forms will be posted by 7AM EST on the appropriate day. You may also request that either entry form be faxed to you on the appropriate date. If you need an entry form faxed, call (760) 375-3289. You will again be able to entry online and pay either by check or PayPal. The online entry forms will become live on the same dates and times as their corresponding downloadable forms. One advantage of entering online is that your entry will show up on the Web site immediately after your entry is submitted.

We will take up to 40 "CRS/WSRC Only" entries before the date that USRC entries open, based on when payment is received.

Once the USRC & Dual entries open, we will fill the rest of the 80 car field as follows:

1. If there are fewer than 40 "CRS/WSRC Only" teams when the USRC & Dual entries open, we will take all others by payment date. Those with the same payment date will be decided by drawing if necessary, with USRC and Dual entries being drawn first and "CRS/WSRC Only" being drawn second. Those that do not make the 80 car field will be placed on a waiting list.

2. If there are more than 40 "CRS/WSRC Only" teams when the USRC & Dual entries open, those "CRS/WSRC Only" cars beyond the first 40 will be placed on a waiting list. We will fill out the field with USRC and Dual entries by payment date. Those with the same payment date will be decided by drawing if necessary. If the 80 car limit has not been met by April 14, the field will be filled with "CRS/WSRC Only" teams on the waiting list

If a team enters the "CRS/WSRC Only" and subsequently decides to enter either the USRC Only or Both, the original "CRS/WSRC Only" entry will become null and void when the USRC or Dual entry is received. If a team should choose to do this they will get a complete refund of their "CRS/WSRC Only" entry fee. The payment date of the USRC or Dual entry will be used for processing the entry. If there is a "CRS/WSRC Only" waiting list at that time, the "CRS/WSRC Only" slot that is released will go to the top "CRS/WSRC Only" car on the waiting list.

For purposes of the above described entry process we will consider the driver to be the entry. That is to say you can change co-driver, vehicle or class but not driver. Changing the driver will be treated as a voiding the existing entry and creating a new entry with a effective "payment date" on the day of the driver swap.
